Saw this today on Twitter – basically the more sleep, the lower likelihood of injury. Kinda makes sense, given that all that reparation of damaged muscle fibres and such like takes place while we’re fast asleep, dreaming of our next PB!

The effect of sleep on running injuries
Yep! I was just reading somewhere that getting more sleep boosts your body’s natural production of HGH, which enhances performance in all sorts of ways, & this is why elite / pro / otherwise super competitive runners make sure to get 8-10 hours of sleep a day. How I wish I could pull that off!
10 hours sleep – yes please!
